How to read a page of Glowing Bugs

Every creature in the book has two facing pages: what is known on the left, the full plate on the right.
The left page always reads in the same order. At the top, the creature’s number and its epithet, then the common name and the scientific name with the people who described the species and the year. Below come three short facts, written to be read aloud.
To the right are a second view of the animal and its field notes: range, lifespan, size, weight, colour, diet and family. A row of five signs follows, and at the foot the animal at its true size, with a loupe where it is too small to see, beside a map of where it lives.
